One of the things I always felt about our time under Sir Brian Little, was that he cared too much.
We started under him like a train, and blew everything and everyone away with brilliant, attacking fast flowing football.
Is started to turn badly for him when he became a lot more conservative, the team started plaything with restraint and were more afraid to lose, than to try and win
I always put that down to Little loving the club so much, so desperately not wanting to lose, that we became boring and tedious.

I fear that Unai is going the same way.

Totally agree. He has recognized our defensive frailties cost us last season and has overcompensated..good intentions..

We'll still finish top 6 again.

Without a striker?

I can't believe there are calls for his sacking.

In which case, you'll be glad to learn that there aren't.

I've seen plenty of our lot on social media saying get rid. I bet there are one or two on here as well.

There aren’t.

Fuck me - we have to trust him.  Its crap at the moment, but hes a world class manager and proven it time and again.  We're going through a bad patch.  But we've also been dealt and manufactured bad hand with FFP etc, and have 4 of our 5 first team midfielders out.

Im way more worried about him getting fucked off with us than vice versa

Emery is that good.

With a striker we'd have a chance of top 3 or 4.

Performance tonight was fine. Better side, more creative shame (not really) that we're out.

Also, losing is very very addictive and hard to shake off, I agree its to early to talk about him leaving the club, on the other hand he has to do something to change this, you can't just carry on losing games forever.

Winning's addictive too: on the decent runs we've had there were games we got points from where we barely deserved anything. But it's not just the losing which is concerning, it's the timidity of these games. It's a struggle for everybody: the players are disinterested or limited, Emery's visibly raging at them, the fans are bored and waiting for the inevitable kick in the bollocks. I don't even have the feeling of "when this clicks, it'll be great", because there's nothing to suggest we're trying to do something.

Something has been amiss behind the scenes for a while it would seem. The body language of some of the players has been abysmal. Our fixtures this season up to Burnley couldn't have been any kinder. And here we are having lost to Brentford twice, in the bottom 3 and the only goal we have scored a reserve keeper chucked in for us. This type of mess isn't resolved quickly, and there is no money to get ourselves fresh faces in January.

Yes, but we have played it abysmally.

Forcing Ramsey out, creating uncertainty around practically the whole squad because they couldn't shift Bailey early enough, spunking big money on players who don't even get used, let alone deliver.

Yes, it is a problem, but we have totally fucked it.

Very well put. What a wanker this ****** is. And to think he supports such a piss poor excuse of a football club and thinks he knows anything worth reading about.

Let’s be fair and honest here.

We have all the money in the world. We aren’t allowed to spend it.

For some reason I have a reminder of that DJ in Father Ted who forgets his record collection, and has to play 'Ghost Town' over and over again.
