We have seen this movie before, a football club rises quickly and become serious contenders taking all before them. Then the amount of extra games need to be played, injuries mount up and suddenly the shine starts to fade. This season has been a success in many ways, look at our record in Europe, we are still not that many points from a top five position but we are running out of troops, every injury seems to start as a niggle then turns in to a three month lay off. Next season will be defining as to how far we have come.

It was Spurs, yes.

It was ever thus.  Archibald v Withe, joint top scorers. A shared Charity Shield. Wage comparisons, Villadawg v Udogie. We can't escape those damned cockerels.

In some ways Emery is correct to tell the world we are not contenders because every time we have a positive interview with any of our players or our manager and we are starting to look like we are contenders, we fuck it up royally. Keep our own council, do it in our own way as Unai says.

In Olsen's case, let's hope it's Coda.

As far as Olsen's concerned I reckon he came In Through the Out Door.

It’s exactly what he did last season, repeating the line that we weren’t contenders for the top 4.

Not being able to keep up with the Charltons and Boltons of this O' Dreary world. McLeish giving the thumbs-up to the directors box after a 1-1 at home to Stoke. Bunch of losers.
