Well done Villa, didn't let the grass grow on this one, nice move and it looks like Emery didn't waste much time in making his decision, another good sign, looking forward to the next game now.

I honestly don't know what to make of it. I dont follow that much European football but he seems to have a knack of winning trophies and its gone down well with everyone so far. And good work by the club for not hanging around.

Buzzing about this. Said his name a while back as who I’d like. It’s been on cards for a while now. Villa for all our criticism of purslow etc we certainly don’t mess around

Massive statement of intent. Surely not even we could mess this one up.

Welcome to the best Villa, Urai.

Properly excited by this.  First time we've appointed a genuinely top quality manager in a very, very long time.

Pretty class by us. Pochard will regret turning his nose up at us.

Great track record and a huge premiership itch he will want to scratch

Very happy with this.

Ticks all the boxes I've wanted us to bring in as manager/coach for ages.

Experienced coach who's won stuff yet still in his prime (just six months ago he was managing in CL semi final).

Gives youth a chance which is a must with what we have around first team squad.

Training ground coach which is obvious upgrade on the last guy.

Will be motivated after way Arsenal stint ended.

Well done NSWE. Back on track after the stalled last 12 months.

He’s not here to be in a relegation battle so there’s gonna be some big backing from the owners IMO
