Fucking hell, mate :D

There's been a few times living out in this part of the world where I've written someone's name in red ink, and received a bollocking :D
I'm about 7 years off retirement and a state civil servant mate  I ain't taking no shit or falling for no banana in the tailpipe trick.

Some defending would be nice.

I think we just have to accept nothing much is going to happen this season.

If, when Gerrard was still dicking around here, you'd have offered me Emery and a frustrating mid table finish, I'd have bitten your arm off.

Still frustrating as fuck though.

I read that when he took over we were one place above relegation, this entertaining ‘nothing much is going to happen’ is okay compared to that.  We all want better but looking up rather than down IS progress.

football is a thing of beauty.

No. Just fucking no.

There is no "football".

And there is no beauty about the way we play.

The players don't fit the system & the manager is too stubborn to change the system to fit the players we currently have.

We have fluked a few games while playing poorly. And while we have shown some glimpses of positivity, they are only glimpses & the rest of the time, the majority of the time, we are fucking shit...

With all the substitutions, I think it was obvious that Emery was having a look with the players and wanted to give them his trust so they could participate in the game.
Trying them all out and judging a player's performance in gaming scenarios and how they cope.

I'll reserve calling him El Maestro due to the pleas until Unai Emery wins a trophy or gets us into Europe thats fair.

I hope now he realises we don’t have defenders to play out from the back, especially vs top 2 team in the league.

So basically, he was doing the very minimum for what he is being paid very handsomely to do...

The defence is obviously a problem. We are scoring enough goals but conceding far too many.

Emery will 100% sort us out and get us top 6.

I want to see an extremely generous amount of patience given to him. We wanted a top manager and he is one. Now we need to do our bit and get behind and support him.

It is still very early days.

Not a chance. Too nice, all this “so, so happy” bollocks. Absolute rubbish.

What I was impressed seeing players communicating a lot more. During stoppages there were healthy discussions that H and V would be proud of
Though I never saw McGinn involved whatsoever.
He above all was most disappointing today though Emery chose to give him 90 mins which is to help him understand the way we are looking to play.

The point is valid, but our second goal came about from employing exactly that tactic. Konsa shows no appetite to receive the ball or pass progressively out from the back, Mings tries but it is not his natural game.

Carlos’ “ten” games at the back end of this season are vital to see exactly how much surgery is required.  .
