He's something like 16-1 with the bookies to be next Bayern manager, which for a manager of an English team in the UK markets strikes me as very long.

The Lille guy is impressive
The Bournemouth manager is doing well with limited resources.
The new guy at C.Palace seems to have turned them around, probably looking at W.Ham

They beat Liverpool at Anfield, although a lot of that was Liverpool missing rather then Palace stopping them. And they beat a West Ham just knocked out of Europe and who has Moyes as manager. Before that they lost to Spurs, drew with both Luton and Forest and lost to Bournemouth and City. If they carry on and beat Newcastle on Wednesday then maybe...... but I honestly think some of it is the old "opposition has form now just before they play us". (Not you Steamer, just one of a few posts about them "coming good" suddenly I have spotted).

I'm not remotely worried about Emery leaving. He's going to be at Villa for a decade and win a load of trophies.

Yep, he's not going anywhere.

I've heard he's acquired a taste for a pint of Batham's, whereas he doesn't like Weißbier at all. He's not going to Munich.

I thought the Germany manager was going back there after the Euros?

No, he has signed a further 2 years with Germany. Bayern’s option are getting shorter.

The favourites seem to be either Zidane or De Zerbi.

Someone I read who seemed to know what they were talking about said that they want Zidane, Zidane's happy to go there but he'd prefer to go to Man Utd. So he's waiting to see if that definitely isn't happening before agreeing to the Bayern job.

He'd be mad to go to Man U. Massive rebuilding job, possibly not in any European competition and a load of highly paid shite to deal with, and for a bloke who's been out of the game for a few years. Much easier to correct the slight wobble Bayern have had I reckon.

I would also wonder on any team that appoints a manager who has only every managed one team, who happens to be one of two in a two team league and probably one of the top 5 in Europe.

If you're a high-profile manager/coach, currently out of work, then I think the Man Utd job would be pretty much the top job you'd want, no? Yes, it's a rebuild, but it's under new 'sporting' management, and they'll have money because they always do.  He's also been out of work for three years, so his chances of walking into a top job are getting by the season.

Personally, I think Man Utd would be mad to appoint him. Which is why I hope they do.

I'd prefer Southgate went to Old Trafford, they'd be screaming to get him out by the end of September.

Emery won't leave us in the next year or two, at least. Hopefully he's here for a long time.

Zidane has the profile that the arrogant fcukers crave… be fun if they miss out on europe though. Can we raid them for a couple of players.

All that, and I'm guessing if you're Zinedine Zidane then you probably don't think in terms of how difficult a job might be. You've had one job, at the biggest club in the world and it was a resounding success.

You probably assume that whether you take the Bayern or Man Utd job, that you're going to just go there and be successful because it's the only frame of reference that you have.
