It's possible that Unai doesn't understand the request to give us proles a wave.

I think that's more than possible.

Sitting right behind him I do think he was actually conducting the singing.

No doubt about it

I think at the time he was in a discussion with one of the staff taking literally down his ear hole. I think me maybe missed it , or as you say didn’t understand it, more than ignore it.

However I thought him waving the arms, was to the crowd after they chanted his name.

Look at the league table now.

We are 9 points behind 3rd place.

We are 11 points ahead of 11th place, the position we appeared to be stuck in for so long.

We are 23 points ahead of 17th, incredible improvement.

For me, Emery is the manager of the year. Incredible.

Without getting overexcited and not wishing to be hyperbolic but, I wouldn't swap Unai and his backroom staff for any others currently operating in the Premier League.

Quite agree Dave.

The only disappointing thing on a Monday morning these days is that it's usually 5 days until the next game.

Right now, I think he is the perfect manager for us and I'd not have anyone else from anywhere.

Hope he's sleeping and eating OK. This fella could do himself a mischief from all the footballing.

For the last few months it was generally assumed , every time it was mentioned in the media, , that of course Arteta would win if if they won the league. And fairly so.

However if they don’t , and I don’t think they will, would it go to Pep if he “ only “ wins the league.

It’s not inconceivable Unai could win it with a strong finish, a City league win, but no CL?

Yes ok for now but surely to go super elite we will need Dwight Yorke type personality?
