Saw somewhere speculation that Ratcliffe wanted to give Amorin the full Season. If it were to happen I imagine it would be at Season's end (due to the above and Unai wanting to have one more try at winning something.) As someone else said that would just about do it for me - think I'd take a prolonged (potentially permanent) sabbatical from all things AVFC.

There's no way Amorim lasts the season, in my arrogant opinion.

I'm sure I read there is a significantly smaller compensation sum if they sack him after October.

Ive always thought this might be Unais last season with us, simply just looking at the length of time he’s stayed at every other club. I’d be gutted if I’m right and double gutted if its them lot he goes to. Hopefully none of this pans out.

Liverpool, Brighton, Forest and Tottenham before the next international break should yield a sufficiently low return of points to punt him, I reckon.

Just in time for a nice new manager boost before they play us in December.

They are just as likely to win as lose a few.
I do not think they have reached end of the road time yet, it could still take a while.
The tapping up of their next Target / victim has probably started already though.

Well he singed an 8 year contract - surely that means something?

Love the media talk of linking Mouthgate to them - please let it happen

Means he tried to set it on fire.

It may be his last season but a huge club (maybe Dortmund if Kovac doesn't cut it) in better working order than that carnage would surely be a wiser move for him.

Imagine Van Gaal thinking - I am better than Moyes. Title push on its way.
Ditto Mourinho.
Solskaer I've got this.
ten Hag - can't be that hard after him.
Amorim - ditto ten Hag.

I’m convinced Manchester United are such a basket case from top to bottom that any manager would look hopeless there. There’s little consistency in their managerial appointments, they just hire whoever’s flavour of the month regardless of whether their tactics suit the players they have. Added to that the sky high ambitions and desire for instant gratification … they’re just a shambles.

Won’t last forever, but I don’t see them getting out of their current hole for a while yet regardless of who they appoint as manager (or if they stick with Amorim)

Because of the vast amounts of revenue coming in i don't think it would take that long to turn it around.
But it needs a complete clear out of Brailsford and pretty much everybody that works for him, its also the only way they are going to attract a top level management team. The problem is that Brailsford has this all encompasing role with Enios Sports Teams.
