I don't think Brailsford has much to do with the problems, he's only been there for a couple of years and their problems have been apparent for a lot longer than that. The most important thing is to fix their expectations, 3-4 decent (but not great) signings and they think all the problems will go away and they'll be title challengers again instead of accepting that they might need to show a little bit of patience.

We do pretty well against new managers. So it doesn’t matter who is in charge of them. They could stick a road cone in the technical area. We will find a way to fuck it up.

Which is understandable, also the fans have not turned on him yet so I think it has some way to go before they sack him.
I do not think they will do so without a replacement lined up and this is not the ideal time to do that. So things will have to get a lot worse.

Indeed. And he can't leave without pay if they decide they don't want him, they'll need to terminate his contract. He would need to resign for it to have any meaning.

Ive always thought this might be Unais last season with us, simply just looking at the length of time he’s stayed at every other club. I’d be gutted if I’m right and double gutted if its them lot he goes to. Hopefully none of this pans out.

I can't quite believe we've got in Olabe now just for Unai to walk at the end of the season.

I think he'll be fully on board with a similar transfer strategy that Olabe implemented at Real Sociedad. Young players on fringes of major teams (Odegaard, Isak) and also signing experienced players to guide them as he got in Nacho Monreal and David Silva to finish their careers.

We know Unai wants experience but we also must freshen up and lower the average age of the starting 11 over the next three transfer windows otherwise complying with UEFA with the 70% squad wage ratio will remain a significant challenge and we can't afford to breach it now.

Winning the Europa League for the 100th time will settle Unai down I'm sure....
