That’s good from Emery.

He's so determined to put the club firmly on the map and I am sure that our owners and Monchi will back him.  He certainly seems able to attract good quality players, hopefully we go out and get another three in at least.  I suspect we will use the loan market more readily too, due to Emi/Tyrone's injuries.

After Acuna, considering the injuries and gaping hole in cover at right back, 2-3 more doesn't seem unlikely.

After Acuna comes in, I reckon we'll get a right back in and that's it until January.

I hope we do get a right back, but with the lack of recent links I am not convinced we will.

I do think we will do a deal for Torres or Felix (or someone of a similar ilk) on loan to buy if Archer goes. The links have been persistent all summer and we certainly need cover / rotation for Watkins as he 1. can't play every game in a season with maybe 20 plus extra matches, and 2. might get injured during the season.

We seem to not sign the most obvious target pretty much every window. This season it is right back and reserve GK, in the past it has been a DM, LW, and CF. It baffles me.

It might be a right sided centre back that can play right back, but I'm sure we'll get another defender.

Since the freak Leicester and Arsenal games we've won 8 in league games a row at home.

Hopefully teams fear coming to VP.

The days of it being an easy place to go are over.

We should go into any game at home believing we will win and under Unai I do.

And let in two goals in those 8 games.

I liked us not playing the high line defence for the first time in ages. That always gives me heart failure.  I wonder if we're ditching that now or just while Mings is out.

Anyone know what our record is for consecutive home league wins?
8 must be getting close.

That did not happen in 80/81 or 92/93 or 95/96 so it must be in the 1800’s we may have had a better run?

Edit: scrap that as we won 9 in 1990 under Sir Graham, of course.

We did 9 in 89/90. Wimbledon ended that run.

Most impressive thing about this run is only 2 goals conceded, and 0 from open play.

They said on MOTD 2 that it was our best run since 1990, so that's correct.
