He’s the greatest Spaniard to set foot on these shores since Julio Iglesias.

To all the managers I’ve loved before, Unai is top.

There’s been a lot of new posts here so I did get a little concerned at first, then I see we’ve offered him a new contract so that’s fantastic news. I really hope we have him for years to come.

I think we'd be wise to review letting Digne go in light of his displays this season. I know it's high wages but to get someone of that quality in is going to cost too and he's fully integrated and committed on the pitch.

Can't believe I've just typed that after I spent a year writing him off but there you go.
I feel the same.  It would seem to be crazy to sell him.  Surely we can work on FFP elsewhere, not sell such an integral player.

I'm not saying we should sell Dougie, to be clear, but the thought does sometimes cross my mind, should we sell one excellent player for +100mil, or should we sell several of the really good players?

What I will say is I'd trust Emery and his people to get 100 mil for one player and turn that into 3 great players.

You can see by the wording how much the club love and respects him.

Incredible news

The best thing to do with Man Utd is ignore them.

Shouldn't that be "ignore it" Percy? ;-)

This was earlier yesterday, so your post, that I quoted above, is a bit odd.

My English teacher read something I wrote when I was fourteen and put me straight in for the O level exam, (which I passed 18 months before my classmates took it), stating ‘there’s nothing I can teach you about English’. She’s not the only one. ;-)

I realise you perceive yourself to be the sole arbiter of correct English in these here parts, so apologies I’ve offended you.

At this moment in time I have no greater connection with a manager of our club since Ron Saunders.  Looking back at our history it could be on the verge of repeating itself. Crap managers and board lead up to the catastrophe of the late 60s.  Vic Crowe and a new board started the revival which couldn’t be quite finished.  Until an elite manager Ron Saunders  came along and turned us into European champions.

For the above read Di Matteo, doctor phony, Steve Bruce and Dean  Smith and now Unai Emery.

Credit to you for your apt and self-deprecating username though. ;-)
I got put in for the Chemistry O-Level a year early but unfortunately didn't win any Nobel Prizes further down the line.

Incidentally, I see you used the relative pronoun 'which' in your non-restrictive subject clause. Could you explain why you didn't use 'that', perhaps with reference to Lapaire and Rotgé's psycho-linguistic theory applied to the morphemes WH- and TH-?

As for my username, it is one I chose a long time ago for a specific reason, and I wouldn't read too much into it to be honest.
