I think Dracula would be mean-spirited, whereas Superman would be complimentary.

So, I’d give him benefit of the doubt and go for him saying something positive about the main man rather than just being a wanker for no reason.

How is he Dracula without the teeth?

And also flying. Do vampires fly?*

* obviously I am not referring to the De Havilland Vampire jet, one of the truly iconic post war British jets. That was one vampire that could certainly fly. I saw one of them at that little aircraft museum in Coventry a few years ago. Amazing plane, mostly wooden, at least the dashboard was. One of them flew over our house en route to an airshow last year, it was an amazing sight. Really iconic design.**

** but, I digress.

The thing is Emery does look a lot like the Count rather than Clark Kent.

He doesn’t look like he’s eaten a baby either!

It's circus themed, he's been shot out of the cannon in the top left.

Oh he’s fired himself at the bloody trophy!

Dracula, look at his collar, black cape...

But no teeth! Surely no cartoonist ever in the history of cartoons has tried to portray the vampiric (iconic jet designs aside) sans fangs?

It's a circus theme as danno has pointed out, so neither Dracula or Superman makes any sense.

Maybe he is just a 'Villan'. There are themes to be found (Hag under pouring water for example).

He has not been directly fired out of the cannon (neither has the bloke with the handlebar moustache who is flying towards Guardiola too).

Luckily, I am still on holiday so can dig further into this cartoon as lives may depend upon it.
