Four years for Garde, Jesus Christ. Rarely will anybody have been paid as much for so very little.

I just saw that, what an absolute shambles the club was back then under Lerner & Co. 4 years!

I would imagine that Unai and Danks have already held in-depth discussions about how the players should be training for the game on Sunday (allegedly).

There's no alleged about it. There definitely is a game on Sunday.  ;)

FFS, not another one.

It's at home too.

Making a bigger deal of it than is worth it.

I appreciate the point you're trying to make, I just think you're worrying about something which isn't worth being concerned about.

Anyway, I imagine his first day of work will be like it was for new people everywhere I have worked - give them the HR handbook, tell them to look at the company intranet, and hope that someone else tells them what to do in the meantime*

* this is a joke, obv

I hope he is having to spend several hours learning how not to click a suspicious email link and being informed of the safe way to lift a box.

There's a least half a day spent trying to work out how to register for the company benefits scheme to take advantage of the 2% discount at Oak Furnitureland.

The rest of the week is a basically a write off.

He'll have to go and get his photo taken for his ID card too, which means he can't go to certain offices or buildings until he has it.

This is all giving me shudders. I can't believe I used to have a job. Jobs are absolutely shit.

He’s probably still trying to work out where the closets fire escapes are and toilets closest to his office. He’ll go to make a coffee and find himself in the janitorial storage room. Make a mistake and ask Brian Little to make him photocopies.

The club's payroll team will be annoyed. It's so much easier when a new starter begins work on the first of the month.

Looks like none of our english players have made the 55 england World cup squad.

Dont think any of them have deserved it to be honest. This gives emery more time to spend with them at training. Lets be honestvits the like of watkins ings mings konsa etc that need the coaching

I once went down too far in the stairwell at the chambers offices opposite the law courts on Corporation St. Ended up in the underground car park with the door shut behind me and zero phone signal. I had to wait until someone drove into the car park about an hour later to get out. Being a field engineer meant having these sort of experiences in alien surroundings every single day.

Though, in the words of that daft vegan racist bellend Morrissey, some jobs are shitter than others. I think that's what it was anyway.

So I'm told. I was never cut out for the workplace. Can't believe I lasted so long.

I haven't got a job at the moment and would definitely not bother getting another one at all if it weren't for harsh economic realities.

They truly are shit.

My advice is to freelance at being skint, then move to Mexico where you'll feel less skint.

Thinking about it, wasn't Houllier's start delayed for some reason? I remember using the interweb downstairs in Circus Circus in Vegas to catch up with it all on here. 12 years ago from memory.

He was working out his notice with the French FA, I think.
