Nakamba, Guilbert, Sanson, Bednarek weren't in the picture and not required. Better for them to be out of the club and not involved for Emerys meetings.

Guilbert and Sanson probably felt it wasn't worth their time, and Ings, being experienced, didn't believe he needed to learn the game any longer.

Indeed, Hopadop was my initial thought but Richard E also pointed it out last week during a Palace game (aptly enough).
