I dont think we looked tired yesterday. However, as an absolutely amateurish mediocre athlete that sometimes runs more on C4 and Beta Alanine than anything, it's perfectly possible to feel tired on any given day and even if that only takes you down half a percent, that's going to be huge at Premier League level. The "they shouldn't be tired" is the sort of comment somebody who has never competed at anything remotely physical makes.

Win on Saturday with a decent performance not a single person will mention tiredness
Losing sides look tired winning sides don’t

We looked pretty tired against Arsenal.

This. Of course players are going to feel a bit of fatigue now and then.

It makes me laugh sometimes that some  fans think they know better than professional footballers.

1 defeat in the 9 games we've played in 31 days is a pretty good return too. It's all rather sensible programming now until the last 16 in March.

We have only 4 games between now and the end of January as far as I can remember.  Unless there's internationals on?

5 if we make a rare appearance in the 4th round of the FA Cup! Which will come straight after our 2 week break post Everton game.

Bert at the AFCON. We'll struggle without him.

Given the efforts in the game immediately prior and the closing down against Arsenal, I'd have been surprised if we hadn't look tired.

We have faltered recently but then so have clubs around us. We need a second wind going into the new year and it'll be all to play for again. Let's not lose hope just yet.

There is a mental fatigue as much as a physical fatigue to be considered. And other intangibles created by our success and the stresses that come with it. Players are human, and they all need to learn how to deal with that. Especially is we desire to stay at this end of the table. That’s the one thing that is often missed when it comes to success at the upper echelons of any sport. Not just ability. We have that. But can we mentally stay at our peak throughout the rest of the season as much stay physically healthy.

Absolutely this, the mental side of any sport is what separates the good from the great.

We’ve had an emotionally draining few weeks and it’s no surprise it’s starting to show.

Trust Unai 100% to steer us through this tricky period.

I feel like the Man City and Arsenal games were mentally very draining for everyone. We've looked a bit wobbly since. We came back to win against Brentford, and salvage a draw from Sheffield Utd, but a Man Utd desperate for a result was a step too far.

Hopefully we can get a win against Burnely, convincing or otherwise, knowing there's a bit of a break coming up and everyone can recover physically and mentally then.

Two games, with 1 defeat, constitutes a run now.

Your forgetting that Arsenal and Brentford are included in the bad run, because we didn't blow them out of the water.
And to be truthful we were wasteful against Abu city. 1-0 was not good enough, only 4/5 nil would have counted.

Against Arsenal we were perhaps a little fortunate to win 1-0, against City we were unfortunate to only win by 1-0.  Same result, but entirely different performances.
