Man City got battered by the same team 4-0 yesterday.
im sure all city fans are thrilled about that.

You think losing 4-0 is acceptable because they beat city 4-0? Your expectations must be low if you think that

It was 4-1, for a start.

That makes it better then
 A marvellous  result

No. Just makes it not 4-0.

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I think our troubles (which stretch back to last season) revolve around Morgan Rogers.  Don't get me wrong, Rogers has brought a lot of good things to the club and he is a great player, but it also changes the way we play. Similar to how Bellingham and England haven't always clicked, it needs the right system.   I fully trust Emery will figure it out and I personally don't think we are that far away from getting it right.
It is part of the problem, I would him back out wide.

We got squeezed out in the middle yesterday so it would make sense to try a different set up and Palace worked out how to nullify us.

Rogers wide might not be a bad shout.

I would be incredibly surprised if Unai ever plays Onana and Kamara together which a few seem to be calling for. He’s always had a least one passer in the middle.

Chances of both them being fit at the same time are about the same as being hit by Halley's Comet.

Onana is a good passer of the ball, despite you continually denying it. Good on the move too. As is Kamara very neat and tidy.

Yes Onana's passing is actually very good. I think it's because he looks gangly while he's doing it that people think he's not good at it. A bit like Peter Crouch doing a back heel.

Onanas problem is consistency since he has been here.  Will have a excellent game then go missing in next onw or two. Also for a big lad he does seem to pick a lot of injuries

Well there’s that too.

I’d be very surprised it it ever happens anyway.

Most urgent priority is a different set up!

Both Kamara and Onana are good passers so there would be no reason not to try the combination for that reason alone.
Fitness is another issue entirely.

He must be feeling a bit nervous now Steve Cooper is available.

Has Lampard signed his deal with Coventry yet?

Re the Man City game, didn't Duran equalise to make it 1-1 and then brave Nico Zaniolo turned his arse to a free-kick and vaporising our chances of a result? Another gimme goal that we've excelled in conceding throughout 2024. We were also playing mostly a second-string side in that game. It's a reason why Arsenal hate us, as we took it more seriously at the Emirates the same month.
