I'd be interesting to see the records since 1st January 2024, 2023 & 2022.

Fun fact. We went 6 consecutive PL seasons without reaching the 42 points we have after 20 games.

11/12 38 pts
12/13 41
13/14 38
14/15 38
15/16 17
19/20 35

They were depressing times.

The Macron kits. Signing players from League 1 and 2. Helenius getting his pants pulled down. Closing the top tier. Lerner not giving a shit. Delph leaving then staying then leaving. Micah Richards calming the fans down at Wycombe. Guzan and his chewing gum. Losing 15-0 or whatever it was over three games around the time we also lost to Bradford. Remi Garde. Dr Xia and the post Fulham depression.

Crazy where we are now after that.

Funny how a few numbers on a page can draw out the deepest darkest trauma. Years of absolute shite. Enjoying the good times.

African Car Reverser - the one beacon of light during those times (apart from SeattleVillain and Saranyu on H&V. I do miss Bad English too).

We know how Unai improves players, but how he continually does it is remarkable.
In McGinn’s post match interview he talks about how the manager has been giving him a hard time about not taking up particular positions during play.
Against Forest, Ginny does as he is told and we saw the results.

We are blessed to have this bloke in charge of us.

Can I ask, did Unai say anything about transfers in any of his interviews yesterday?

Anyone who signs for us is extremely lucky to be walking in to the environment provided at the moment. If we could pull a Rashford/Asensio out of the bag then who knows what could happen.

Only repeating that we are ‘alert’ should the possibility of improving the squad appear.
He was being as guarded as usual on the matter, although he has made it clear that the club decided 2 months ago that we don’t want to buy/keep Elliot and it’s a challenge finding a solution for him.

If we do that it is on.

Thanks Andy. Hoping for a bit of quality in the same manner as last January.
