Luton, Burnley, Sheffield Utd, Bournemouth, Palace - that's eight points gained from goals after 88+ minutes.

Not good for the stress levels, but it's too frequent to be a fluke.

Think the Man Utd is the only time we've lost a point to a late goal. Which is very outside the sort of thing we're used to having served up.

Also still the only points we've dropped after taking the lead.

Times surely as we let in both games in the last 10 mins to drop points.

If there's any validity in my perspective, I'm sure it's not an original one (and if there isn't, it probably is!), but it seems to me that Unai has adapted his style in a big way since the introduction of VAR. When he came to us I thought we were getting a canny, but defensive manager (a bit like Benitez). I don't watch enough European (or even English) football to be sure, but it feels to me that's how he won most of his European trophies.

But we don't play that way. We feel like massive risk-takers a lot of the time. I think it's because he's decided he can trust the VAR for offside in both directions and so he's decided to take advantage of that in a way other managers don't. I dunno, it just feels like he's given us even more than we we were expecting. More please!

He's quoted as saying he had planned for a high-line but the players wanted to play even higher and he was happy to go along with that.

52 league games as manager and 32 wins is, quite simply, remarkable.

Next season will see more sides taking a similar approach. If the defenders are doing their bit correctly it works every time as the tech’ is there to assist. By defenders, I mean competent players who are capable. Ours, who are competent can do it in their sleep except on the odd occasion when one will appear to actually fall asleep.

Although I think there has only been once when VAR has had to assist us defensively to override a goal. Most calls are on-field and correct (albeit either a late flag or not needed as it is cleared).

I was thinking of Watkins's second goal yesterday.

I have one of my nipples tatted, but not sure I could go quite as far as the ball-bag.

You are a brave man. 😂

And no pics. Your word will be enough... 😉

That was the first time we have had an offside call overturned during an attacking play this season. We have been penalised more then not.

I'm not stating you are wrong btw, he has taught Watkins how to read the line to minimise offsides and our defence how to play to maximise them, just that the majority have been caught by the on field decisions anyway.

And a quick check and only two goals given on the field were overruled because of our offside trap.
