It will be 1 in 7 after Saturday but he is still the best Manager we could wish for.

As shit as our form is I bet we all believe Emery will turn it round and they'll be firing again very soon  8)
Jury out for me. Liverpool isn’t going to help, the international break isn’t going to help as most of the squad will be away. Something is not right.

The jury is out? If only Emery had achieved taking a team almost certain to go down under Gerrard do seventh and then had an almost perfect season with an injury-ravaged team last season to take them to the Champions League.

Let’s see if he can actually prove he’s up to the job, shall we?

Slept on it and I'm still pissed off. The Mings fuck up is what it is but what's unforgivable is the complete lack of intensity and with the defence actually gesturing to slow it down at verious intervals, it's got to have come from the manger. We aren't good enough to swan about the pitch like a shower of entitled wankers. Let's return to high pace and intensity please.

I don’t mind the slower pace stuff if it is done with a purpose. Either to minimise output in a game you think you can win without being full throttle, or when it’s to take the sting out of a side before going through the gears once you have.

But in both those scenarios you need coherent defending and you need a midfield that can control the game. We have neither at the moment. We also struggle to go up through the gears when we set up like that and we get stuck and look stodgy.

Until we get more control and work out how to up the intensity in game we’re going to struggle.

Yeah, ridiculous comment. I get people are annoyed but saying the jury is out after two seasons of progression is silly.

MF has - for sure - become bogged down in games. Spuddds last Sunday turned the MF screw on us; Brugges smothered Tielemans last night. More purpose and intensity is a must going forward.
We need to find the Bayern gamepln for Saturday or we'll concede another bagful.

Thats just emotions speaking he doesnt mean it im sure

We have all done that before myself included

Its just frustration for being utterly shit lately. Barring fulham and late half vs wolves we have been average to cack most of the season in the league

Our defence has been pretty ropey for the best part of 9 months and I've seen little from Emery and his staff to suggest they're figuring it out.

I say it again, he should not be immune to criticism.

Without that clown ming's balls up we get the nil nil and a good away point there.
you go to these places in the europe and have to suffer for long periods...even madrid do!
Kamera being back and having 3 games under his belt will surely bolster the defence. But Unai must stop the bleeding on Saturday

It's Mings....not Minga or Mongs as you called him yesterday in the pre match thread.

I agree that he isn’t immune to criticism, but there’s having concerns about his choice of centre back pairings, or his starting XI in the League Cup and there’s still trying to suss out if he’s any good after two seasons of fairly constant improvement.

Now Kamara is back can Emery revert to his first system with us, where our right back could get forward and overlap with Kamara dropping into the back three for the build up phase? Ned/Cash could do this and it might help Bailey/McGinn on that side.
