Redmond is worth a punt with Allbrighton going out on loan/sold.
I haven't bothered reading through the last 30 or so pages in any depth. The fact is nobody knows a damn thing and especially Mrs excitable eastie" who must have post 10,000 of 11,000 posts in this thread alone irrespective if whatever PM's...er...voices are in his head telling him otherwise. The only thing that we know categorically is that no new player has walked through the doors at VP since the end of the last window which is a very long time ago, and after a number of horrible defeats and with less than 3 days to go that is rather concerning.

Not a bad call, albrighton is out for a few weeks though i think .
If we haven't got a pot to piss in what about Matthew Upson on loan? He can't get past Huth and Shawcross at Stoke and he would at least be motivated to try and get a contract next season.

Upson , risse, murphy , stephens - all 4 for less than £8m , wages permitting.
Meanwhile Lambert says he wants to bring in some new recruits this week, but admits he won't have an open chequebook, or be able to do the kind of business fellow struggles Newcastle have done: signing four new players so far this month.
Lambert said: "We need a few in. I'm not going to say 'we need four or five' because people will have a perception of what they think. I know in my own head.
"We are not close to anything like that (what Newcastle have spent). I'm pretty sure the chairman knows exactly what he is doing.
"It's his money and he's the man who has put X amount of money into the club over the years. I'm not going to come out and tell the chairman he must do X, Y and Z. I am not going to do it.
"We brought in some lads in the summer. I knew the club had to rebuild. Randy wanted us to rebuild it. I knew that. We have brought in seven players.
"At this minute there is not much really happening. There's been guys we went for who have gone to other clubs."
Lambert knows it is crucial Villa "hold their nerve" for the scrap that lies ahead to retain top-flight status.
He said: "Is the squad good enough to keep Villa up? Yes. Every game we go into I think we will win it. There's a lot of teams in and around it thinking the same.
"We have to win and there are a few teams in the same situation. We have to hold our nerve and fight for everything."
Lambert also stressed the need to keep hold of 11-goal striker Christian Benteke, after weekend speculation linking him with a summer move to a host of clubs.
He said: "There's no point me trying to build something if it keeps getting dismantled. I don't think you can do that."
The Scot insists he he has no regrets about leaving Norwich in the summer despite his struggles at Villa Park.
He said: "People ask 'why did I leave there?' I had to leave there. It had finished. The opportunity to come to Aston Villa was unbelievable and still is.
"It's a fantastic club. You can sense how big it is. It's huge, absolutely huge.
"I don't enjoy this run we are on. You hurt. But you have to pick yourself up and go again.
"You have to meet it head on. I have said that for the last few weeks."
On five live tonight : 8pm monday night club. How do you measure a player's character before signing them? thumbs up
It's around about now in this thread that someone should probably suggest re-signing NRC.

Can we bring back Tony daley? I always liked that bloke.
That long sarcastic laugh from us all if we do sign someone and that mixture of emotions if hes one of the many we speculated on here about NRC included
See he's changed his wording slightly, he's said 'we need a few in'. I reckon Randy has told him to get players in.
Visiting this thread is like entering eastie's stream of consciousness, a la Being John Malkovich.
