If Lerner things bringing in RDM to do the same job at villa is the answer then we really are screwed.

Indeed. Like re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.

I cant see RL sacking him, we've been on bad runs before and he hasn't given anyone the bullet.

A few people are very adamant on VT that the finance Lambert thought he was getting this month, has been pulled. Would explain why we've not brought anyone in (yet)
If its true that the money has been pulled then I think these RDM rumours may well be true!

when did a Champions League Winning manager last join Villa ,   sounds awesome , I would dream of that but for some reason I would be a little gutted.

So if people on here think Lambert should be sacked, then this is total madness - how much would that cost in compensation for him and his back room staff - £6m+, no wonder we have no money to spend on new players, we keep giving it away in compensation.

Lambert needs to stay, as we need continuity with the manager. We cant keep sacking our managers.

If he was the right man 7 months ago then surely he is still the right man now.

Di Matteo would be, in my opinion, a terrible option. I'd rather stick with PL or even have GH back.

Birmingham mail has just posted an article from PL. depressing stuff!!! He said more than once that he would 'be happy to go with what we've got' when asked about 'trying' to bring a couple in.
Hinted again that the budget were working too is low.
I fully expect us now not to bring anyone in at all.
Hello burnley away next year

I heard an expert on the radio yesterday who said , that each club in the Prem are getting so much money next year for e.g, they could drop everybody's match ticket by £30 at the ground and still have the same money as they have got now .  That is alot of money , enough to pay fee's and decent wages , If we go down without spending , RL deserves what he gets.

If we sack Lambert and appoint Onion Head then we deserve to get fucked, just like Southampton deserve to get fucked.

Roberto di Mateo, no no no no no no no FFS no.

But i wouldn't put it past the numpties running the club these days i really wouldn't.

We've had a horrible run all season of injuries to our senior players, the money they gave PL to spend pre season was woefully short of what was really required and we are where we are as a direct result of the Boards continual cost cutting over the last 3 years.

So FFS back Lambert with some decent money you fecking imbeciles before you get us relegated.

That is all.

Too late to bring in a manager who could make a difference with signings. So in that respect its Lambert or bust. However if he's not backed with money, i don't think Lambert will turn it around. In that case, they may well end up sacking him anyway and hoping "new manager syndrome" kicks in

When will all this cost cutting stop anyway? surely simply getting rid of the high earners won't fix any problem we have overnight? We can't survive in the Prem with these constraints & if we do escape by the skin of our teeth, I'm sure we'll have other transfer windows of fuck all activity.

Surely Lerner knows any spending that he makes to keep us up will be more than paid back to him with the windfall we'll have for staying up.

If that article isn't a smoke screen we're buried. This board is a complete joke. We have no chance of survival with this squad as it is.
