Does not look as though Warnock is leaving us - this has been posted in the Yorkshire Post

11.40am: We understand that Leeds United have been given a 12pm deadline to complete the Stephen Warnock from aAston Villa deal. Which basically means 20 minutes

If not, he'll go to West Ham.

Would fat sam take him after being snubbed?

Surely if we were going to sign anybody else we would know about it by now?

Do you  honestly believe if we go down that we can afford to pay Bent £80k a week, IF he could not care less now, how motivated would BENT be playing for us in Championship.

We'd have no choice because his wages would make him unsellable to anyone who would want him. The likes of Benteke on lower wages would be the assets that would be flogged

I'm sure Bent would be able to find someone in the Premier league to pay him £50k - £60k a week and he'll want to be playing in the top division to get back into the England set up.

I think a lot depends on whether Bent goes to Stoke.  That's the only cash we probably have left.

Have we swapped Bent with Stoke in exchange for one of their supporters?

I think we'd get around £12m for Bent if he left.

No.

Many times seen players training as normal and then things happen about 5pm- there is still plenty of time, once the domino effect begins we can see lots of quick deals.

Stoke fan at work said that he doesn't rate Shawcross. Personally I think he's good in the air, but can be quite rash in the tackle (no sniggering back there).

Your Stoke fan is in the minority then. He his great in the air but also his postional sense is great. Tackling and blocking shots he is brilliant at. His only weakness is his passing out from the back which is improving and would only be better playing for a top top side with better midfield than ours. (Stokes)

Not looking promising in respect to getting others in but then again this time yesterday 99.9% of all Villa fans did not know who Sylla was!!!

Perhaps we will have a CB coming in again who none of us have ever heard of

Anybody else expecting a parting shot if Bent leaves?

There could be deals done at midnight and the first you'd hear of it is when its annouced.
We probably hear 10% of what goes on, if that.

Have we swapped Bent with Stoke in exchange for one of their supporters?

He's contributing more to the cause than Bent at the moment.
