Do you  honestly believe if we go down that we can afford to pay Bent £80k a week, IF he could not care less now, how motivated would BENT be playing for us in Championship.

I'd keep Bent if only because Lambchop won't be here for ever, and when Benteke and co get flogged we'll need a 15 goal a season striker in the championship. Just because the current manager is too clueless to play to his strengths, doesn't mean the next guy will

Bang on

Considering how he engineered his move from Sunderland, I'd be astounded if he played a game in the championship.
Our relegation would mean our asking price would drop, and so would his wage demands, he would be off-ski.

I was just about to say Upson would be a good fit for you. I was almost dissapointed when we signed Upson but to be fair he hasn't put a foot wrong and always done well and he would help you now. Not sure why we'd let him go though as he's perfect back up for Huth And Ryan.

Palacios... I was happy to see him come and in flashes hes looked great but never had a run. Pulis said he wasn't fit enough when he came and then never really had a crack at it. Not he's what you want this season you need someone to come in flying.

Superman?
You know what I mean, you can't risk him taking 5 games to get into it.

Nonsense pessimism. Do you really think Bent would hang around if we got relegated? The answer is no.

WM have said the tescobags could swap Odemwinge for Hoillett at QPR. If the latter's available, we should be interested, surely?

Great deal 4 the baggies IMO

We would  need to sell him to recoup some of our losses, get him off the bill and he would demand to leave anyway .
Benteke would probably be off too and with weimann only 1yr on his contract left he may also go - leaving us with the prolific gabby and his 2 goals in 35 league games.

Stoke fan at work said that he doesn't rate Shawcross. Personally I think he's good in the air, but can be quite rash in the tackle (no sniggering back there).

Does not look as though Warnock is leaving us - this has been posted in the Yorkshire Post

11.40am: We understand that Leeds United have been given a 12pm deadline to complete the Stephen Warnock from aAston Villa deal. Which basically means 20 minutes

We'd have no choice because his wages would make him unsellable to anyone who would want him. The likes of Benteke on lower wages would be the assets that would be flogged

If not, he'll go to West Ham.

I think bent would attract a buyer - we would probably get £8m though if lucky.

So that we can scramble around for 11 hours looking for some more "young gems"?
