It is indeed, and ridiculous.

Yep, he'll be a huge loss to them. I like him a lot (as a player/ and not in a old 'Arry Bagpuss way)

Ivan Gaskell ‏@IvanGaskell1
#avfc PL:(on poss transfers)"yes, we are trying to do some things. But its very difficult,we don't have money to spend."

That's very worrying to hear.

If it's correct, then Lerner has no clue. We will go down without reinforcements and we'll miss that TV deal.

Seems that lambert will not be financially backed by Lerner then, that does not mean there is no money though.

I still think Lerner is waiting to see what happens tomorrow and a heavy defeat could see him fire lambert in which case why would he give him money if he is having serious doubts about him.

I sincerely hope we win tomorrow and randy decides to back him with cash, if a new man does come in I believe he would have to be given funds to strengthen .

Either way whoever is manager without reasonable funds they will struggle to keep us up.

It is common knowledge a so called itk posted early this week that lambert would not be given money and would be gone if we lose tomorrow, also that rdm was the target last summer but once Chelsea kept him we had to look elsewhere , he also suggests rdm being available now would be given the job and given money.

It may all be coincidental or bollocks but it may just be on the cards - I have no idea but we shall soon see.

That would make no sense, if he has that little faith in Lambert he would sack him. Why withhold money and risk Villa's premier league survival? It would make no sense.

The simple truth is that if we don't strengthen in January we're buried.

I think we will strengthen. How much business we'll do is anyone's guess i think we'll bring a couple in.

Ivan Gaskell: PL(on q's if Villa might try & sign the likes of Joleon Lescott/Scott Parker)."No!Anyone who thinks we are in that market is dreaming"

Well hang on that's not the same as having no money, that could easily be a massive wage issue.

I heard a while ago we were offered Parker but no way would Villa pay his wages . Cant really blame them £100k a week I was told.

What Gaskell has tweeted is at odds with what Lambert said this morning, looking for a couple in the middle. I severely doubt we have nothing.

That's why i think we'll have a couple in. He seems to have identified who he wants.

If we're relying on lambert to turn it around on his own with no money, then i think we're up sh*t creek.
