How Swansea got Michu, considering he had a good scoring record in Spain, for 2 million is beyond me, but he was a snip and fair play to them.
Vallecano (like most of Spanish football) were massively in debt and he only had a year left on his contract.

As for the player himself, he's probably just pleased that he's at a team where he's actually going to be given his wages each month.

Yep,not a big enough player for the two big spanish teams, and the rest of the them can't match English wages. Shame it seems only Laudrup had only knowledge of him.  Speaking of Swansea,id love to see if we could tempt them with a bid for Dyer. Played yesterday, but has been in and out this season, really intelligent player, quick, would work really well on the right.

Sevilla are in real financial trouble at the moment, so could have a few players looking to leave.

A few Swansea fans on the net reckon Routledge is better than Dyer!

I think this summer for once we can say we got a few real bargains thankfully. Diame was an obvious one, that a lot of us on here wanted, and what he brings apart from a lot of skill is a great deal of physicality that we lack badly in our midfield IMO. None of our lads are big strapping people who can really stamp themselves on a game. One of those and an amalgamation of Holman and Ireland and we would be a very decent side. The advanced midfield positions in front of Westwood are where we need 4 better players than we have, although I hold out a little hope that NZogbia can yet be saved.

I don't - and never have - hold out much hope of a resurgent N'Zog. It'd be great to be wrong but I just don't see enough enthusiasm, energy and desire in his play.

The thing that worries me with N'Zogbia is that I've seen effort and desire from him, it's his lack of ability that's the problem.

There is absolutely no doubt N'Zogbia has the ability, it's a matter of him finding fitness, sharpness and form at the same time.

You'd think that, but what I've seen of him in a Villa shirt has contradicted this.

Buy Will Hughes, loan Derby Carruthers (or even Delph).
Hopefully in that half season Carruthers can step up so he is ready for 2013/14.

Its asking a lot for a 17 year old to solve our problems. If he's that good it would be better to buy him and loan him back to them so that he gets more experience.

If as seems likely Bent is off then Robbie Keane for 8 games seems a very useful option. Also' realistically is Dunne also persona non grata ?

I really can't think of many obvious targets we could sign, I suppose that's not a bad thing. Unlike the MON days, I guess.
