Considering the diabolical defence this season and the mystery of both Dunne and Vlaar's ongoing injuries you'd have thought we'd have had a couple of defenders lined up by now. We're a third of the way through the month and still nothing doing in the transfer market. We go from game to game and disaster to disaster and still Lerner and Lambert sit on their hands and do nothing.
It's almost like they couldn't give a fuck if we go down.
There were stories around last summer that randy wanted rdm but was waiting to see if Chelsea released him or kept him on which maybe would explain the long delay in appointing a manager , now he is available maybe randy sees him as a better option , who knows , but I think if lambert doesn't turn things around very fast then he must surely be fighting for his job - the last few weeks have been awful.
Equally there is no point changing a manager in 2 weeks time when the deadline is almost over - if he does make a change it would need to be soon .
I thought there might have been at least 1 in by now but maybe the player's he wants are not available. There's no point in signing just anybody. I know we need players, especially at the back but they need to be right as well. It'll be a case of wait and see i suppose.
Di matteo is a significantly worse manager than Lambert in my opinion.
Lambert is the worst manager we've had in over 30 years, how on earth would RDM do any worse?
Worse than Graham Turner? Or McNeill?
It's almost like they couldn't give a fuck if we go down.
It has actually crossed my mind that maybe we are a club preparing for relegation
You can coach as much as you like but if you're not naturally any good then the best coaching in the world might only get 10% more out of you.

I accept that clampy but can we afford to wait and see, losing to saints on Saturday could be the difference between staying up and going down - playing the waiting game is a huge risk if we are dropping points while waiting.
To be honest our defence and midfield are so poor there must be countless of options out in the market who could improve both areas.

He was sacked by West Brom because he couldn't stop the rot that had set in, and couldn't stop them losing games. Isn't that what people are saying about advocating Lamberts exit? IMO they are very similar, just that RDM was a very popular player at Chelsea, and was ready and waiting to take over them at just the right time.

His record so far is as bad. Obviously the season isn't over yet, but if he takes us down he'll be classed as even worse than those two muppets.
I don't think changing manager would negate our need for a strong and experienced defender and midfielder.
Certainly agree with you , but why would it stop us signing those kind of players ?
It wouldn't. What I was getting at is that, IMO, our problems are player based and not manager based.
But is it not the manager who buys the players and decides the tactics? I'm not anti lambert but I do have serious doubts regarding him.
He's far from blameless, but how much were his hands tied in the summer? You can blame him for KEA being poor, but not for the injuries to Dunne and Vlaar.
Turner wasnt ready for a like like this , McNeill was a disaster , I wanted lambert for the job but sometimes a manager fits a certain club - I remember mike walker doing great things at Norwich but the step up to Everton proved a disaster , I hope this doesn't end the same way.

Yes, mine too. Packing the team out with kids on YTS wages will prepare us well for the Championship.

He knew Dunne was injured when he came in.It was a huge risk just assuming he would get better and then purchase another player with an horrendous history of injuries as the other senior option

I meant wait and see as to who we bring in. Obviously the sooner we bring players in the better, that goes without saying.
