Could see this one happening as he has played for Lambert before. He is 30, but I think he would offer a lot more than Ireland and N'Zogbia, and would be on a lot less money.

It would be against EU employment law for free agents to not be allowed to sign for a club and play for them so there must be a way. Not that I believe the rumour - just a point I'm waiting to see get challenged.

Only if you haven't selected 25 players. If you've left a space you can sign free agents.
I imagine we don't have a full 25 man squad because of the ages of a lot of our squad.
We have space in our squad, if true we can add him.
Hoolahan would be a very good signing for us, would like to see that happen in Jan.
At 30, I'm not convinced he's the sort of player we will be going for. Good player, mind.
