Nurseys offering today from the mirror-
Paul Lambert is willing to risk the wrath of old club Norwich again with a move for Steve Morison.
Boss Lambert walked out of Carrow Road for Aston Villa in the summer and the clubs are still yet to agree compensation.
Now Lambert is eying a move for City striker Morison, 29, to provide back-up for targetman Christian Benteke.
Lambert rates Morison after bringing him into the top-flight in June 2011 in a £2.8million deal from Millwall.
He scored 10 goals to help the Canaries stay in the Premier League last season.
But Welsh international Morison has only started three League games under Lambert's successor Chris Hughton.
And Villa would be able to offer Morison a hefty pay-rise on his existing contract.
If Morison demands to quit, Hughton will use the cash to raid the European market for a new forward.
Lambert has already returned to Norwich to knock City out of the League Cup to reach the semi-finals.
The fiery Scot also claimed in October he had not spoken to Norwich chairman Alan Bowkett for two years.
Morrison is very underwhelming, if he is after another target man why not go for Gary Hooper from Celtic?
Not a fan of Morison at all. Let's hope it's another false story.
Yeah I wouldn't be overally thrilled with Morison.
Nursey just tweeted-
@JamesNursey: A bit of transfer gossip: told #AVFC Lambert wants #NCFC Steve Morison. Lambert rates Morison & wants another targetman
Just imagine Morrisonn and Benteke up front, that's something McLeish would have done :-(
I don't know a lot about Morrison. At least he sounds old enough to shave.
Nursey has since tweeted that he spoke to Houghton who knew nothing of a move of Morrison to us..
As someone who follows Welsh football, I wouldn't be too keen on us signing Morison. To be fair to him, he has had a pretty meteoric rise from Conference football to the top flight in a few years, but he has been pretty poor for Wales for quite a while now. I agree that we need a target man to cover Benteke, but feel someone like Danny Graham from Swansea would be a better bet.

Surely Bowery is the target man to cover for benteke- he's a year younger similar height and I would imagine he is here as a target man cover for benteke.
Graham night be an option to play off benteke, I must admit I haven't seen anything special about Morrison , now lamberts settled with Norwich though we may be able to go back and bid for pilkington?

He needs to go out on loan first. We've already got to many youngsters learning their trade in the squad, hence the poor results in the league. We need proven talent and i don't mean the names mentioned above either.
At least, in our position now, we should be able to attract players. A few weeks ago I was worried we'd be right in that bottom three and unable to get anyone decent in.

I'd imagine any player looking at our result yesterday will be having second thoughts.
