Footballers don't have any loyalty. Expecting it is just setting yourself up for disappointment as a fan.
Do football clubs have loyalty to players?
Bouma and Petrov spring to mind.
They are outliers. Clubs are run as businesses, not charities (though tenure and commitment by a player may be rewarded) and players have 15 years or so to make as much moolah as they can. So, as much as I'd love Jack to stay here for the rest of his career, if and when he does leave, it will be impossible to begrudge him (unless he downgrades and goes to Arsenal).
We were a charity once. We gave Lescott a contract. And Simon Dawkins.
RCF's also a big fan of the 40-year-old version.
You're wasted on here. Philistines!

Dawkins! And Omar Cummings....or was he just a triallist?
Jesus, Lambert really did a number on expectation-management.

That wasn't money wasted though. He did come up with The Theory Of Everything and some amazing stuff about Quantum Physics.
Makes total sense, senior head and experience in the dressing room that weve lost. Can cover both fullback roles. Done deal
A bit of a strange one to me. Don't think its a terrible acquisition, but i'm struggling to see the point really.
John Percy now reporting this will be confirmed in the next 24 hours

I see him as an upgrade on Elmo.

I really like Cash but he’s going to always pick up bookings with his very enthusiastic nature, I’m sure Young can do the business back there when called upon.
Well, they say never go back so I'm taking a guarded approach. Of course his experience and maturity will help but I'm always nervous about signing players on their way back down.
If Dean and the staff think it's a worthy addition then so be it, here's to it working out for both parties.
