He's four games away from 200 PL appearances for us. Gareth Barry is top with 364.

A little bit skewed by the August 1992 cut off. Alpay more appearances than Spink.

And Marvelous Nakamba more than Tommy Johnson. That must be down to the increase in the number of subs down the years.

Amazingly, in 6 games time, Big Emi will have played more Premier games for the Villa than Grealish.

Interesting to see Mings and Luiz with over 120 games each already. They should be on the verge of the top 20 by the end of this season. With another 3 years on his contract Luiz could make the top 10 at this rate. Given his emerging partnership with Kamara I’m quite optimistic about this.

I was on the way out earlier, so just quickly fired it in the thread whilst the missus was nagging me to get a move on #Priorities

But the one's that struck me were poor Jlloyd Samuel in 15th, then your Bacunas, N'Zogbias and Guzans all having so many, but think that's because I've targeted that section of the hippocampus with strong drinks and heavy machinary, so am mainly oblivious to who/what happened.

Adding to that, at today's ridiculous player values one is worth £100 Million and the other isn't.

I hope the club are drawing up a new one year deal for Ashley for next season? He's so fit and focused on extending his career. His pace is still a match for most opponents - ask Kevin De Bruyne after Ash outpaced him at Villa Park in the home fixture earlier this season! Long may it continue.....!

I read he had signed for another year on Facebook this morning, rushed to H&V for confirmation and the cupboard was bare. Must have been an old post or summat. I was very tired when I read it.

His first stink cemented him as an all-time favourite of mine.
Yes, I loved the way he used to waft down the wing back then…
Definitely can’t criticise him for being all fart and no shit.
But can he do it on a wet Tuesday night in Cologne?

I think that particular establishment has closed....
