I assume that's so we don't have to pay him off and we just pay the delta in his salary. he's probably got about £8.5m left of his book value left and on a salary of ~£150k/wk he's a ridiculous drag on a financials (~£12m p.a.). Just an awful deal

I expect so, although I think with the number of players we have, it could be one out, one in, for the important first team spots. Like, we might not buy a right back, centre-half or striker unless we get acceptable offers for Cash, Carlos, Duran respectively. Otherwise we’ll be way over the 25.

We need a couple of top proven players signed. Playing in the Champions League is huge step up from the Europa Conference League.
