What was the deal there? They paid £18m but if relegated they just send him back and get a full refund?

Jacob Tamswell, Villa correspondent at The Athletic, said they paid £9m of the £18m up front, and as they went down, the agreement was they send him back not having to pay the rest.

£9m for a season's loan is pretty bloody good! Also means that if we booked the £18m last season, we only need £9m to start profiting on him a second time.

Or, as I'd prefer, maybe Unai is happy to have another look at him given Duran looks to be on his way out...

I read that on X as well. Good deal for us as it turned out.

Honestly, we're just relentless cheats. I agree with the Yanited fans, we should be sent to the National League.

Hause was, and probably still is, the best header of the ball at the club. Unfortunately the rest of his game isn't quite up to the same standard. No problem with him going, but he goes with my thanks and best wishes. Keep on Rappin'.

Archer is back at the club and training - a few clubs are interested in taking him, so it will be interesting to see where he goes.

He will probably be in the squad for the Walsall game.

Has he gone then?

Isn't his contract up?

When he was on it Hause was a good defender, brilliant in the air. Shame the injuries have ravaged him.

Think Hause has another year…if he is fit enough to be able to play then surely he’ll either get a loan or mutual termination or free transfer if he can find another club.

I have no problem with good pros like Hause, he derserves the length of his contract.  Its ****** like Ireland and Richards that boil my piss.

You’d hope he’d get a couple of years somewhere

Hause hasn't played for anyone in ages. I think there were disagreements about how best to treat his injury and whether or not he needed surgery and to what extent.

It all sounded like a nightmare.

I haven't seen anything saying his issues have or haven't been resolved, but I hope for his sake he has found a solution and can get back to it.

If he is fit, I can't see anyone taking a financial punt on him after so long out, so I'm expecting him to see out his contract, be paid off, or go on loan with us covering the majority of his pay.

Id give Ireland and Richards more than a couple of years, I'd give them the chair.

I feel for Hause, nearly 2 years since he last played. Would be nice just for him to play for someone again.

We need 4 academy players for the CL squad.  Archer would be a useful third striker, and even a decent option off the bench in the PL.
