This is going to be a tough old afternoon. Just because they have "nothing" to play for doesn't mean they are going to roll over and let us tickle their tummies. There are still three points to play for and their professionalism should mean that we won't get it our own way. I see a draw and hoping for other results to go our way. I've been shaking like a shitting puppy all week every time  I think about it. You'd think at my age, I'd know better, but 54 years of hopes and expectations getting dashed will do that to a man.

I'm kind of hoping that Brighton saw the Man City game as their 'final' and put a lot of energy into it and are looking forward to the beach with the likes of the likely to depart, Mac Allister not wanting to get injured and having a break.  They have guaranteed 6th place and have been excellent this season but am praying that coming to Birmingham for one more game is a nuisance to them. So desperate to get a positive result here and get back into Europe, I think it will be a huge pull on what players we are going to target.

Please for those going if we win dont invade the pitch at full time. It would be small time and embarrassing

Ive seen on some faceboon groups alot of fans saying they plan to run on the pitch 🤦‍♂️

Wasn’t that Michael Elphick’s social media platform of choice?

The dear, departed Elphick would indeed be a likely member of of one these faceboon groups.

Who knows what situationist stunts these Dadaists will pull given pitch access.

For those wondering : FaceBoon by ChatGPT...

Quote
Introducing FaceBoon, the mind-numbingly banal and uninspiring group that has managed to drain the joy out of social media. FaceBoon prides itself on being the epitome of a vapid and superficial digital realm, where creativity goes to die and originality is mocked.

Prepare to be underwhelmed by FaceBoon's unimaginative and monotonous interface. With its generic layout and lackluster design, navigating through this virtual wasteland feels like trudging through a desert of boredom. Say goodbye to vibrant colors and captivating landscapes because FaceBoon has replaced them with a sea of soulless gray and mind-numbing simplicity.

Brighton was a laugh. That's why we went down. It was a giggle, that's all.

Fell asleep on the train. Woke up in bloody Neasden.

Just occurred to me that in 2017 on the last day we had nothing to play for stuck in the middle of the championship- we then got an equaliser vs Brighton to deny them the title and the bar codes won it instead.
They looked gutted and angry.
Wonder if they have long memories and make it an extremely difficult afternoon.

The day is here. I hope it's quiet at work this afternoon as I will not be able to concentrate. 2-1, although in any case I don't think Spurs will do better than us nor Brentford beat Man C

Aston Villa will be another very tough game, they deserve to achieve Europe," he said. "Unai Emery has changed their season, and they have big players with a clear style of play.

“We have to arrive ready, the holidays have not started yet.

"We have to respect ourselves, the club and fans in every game and every training session we have to play seriously.

“We go to Birmingham to win and play in our way.”

They have a fixed way of playing which is great to watch, and has brought them deserved success.

We play the way that is necessary in the moment. The new way.
