I’m hoping that Man City beat Brighton 16-0 and then we win our game against Brighton to get into the Europa on GD. Failing that, given that Brighton likely have 6th secured, I would hope that we have far more drive, passion and energy combined with a genius Emery game plan to finish the job off and qualify for the Conference. Providing us a launching point for many years of successful league campaigns and European competition appearances. Hopefully a few trophies along the way.

But what a journey this has been. Let’s get this done and enjoy an amazing summer.

Prediction - Villa 3-1 Brighton - Watkins, Bailey, Buendia

Really looking forward to it. The atmosphere is going to be awesome. The players seem up for it too.

People talk about 5 year plans in football, but the last five years has taken us from losing play-off finalists to the brink of Europe.

Even though we've had some shit times that felt awful, we've actually progressed every year except last season. But that was a season where we lost the player the team was built around and the manager who built it, and then appointed a complete newbie.

Let's get into europe with a win and start the next new era.  ;D

Just to point out the title of this topic is slightly out- according to BBC Sport the kick off time is given ( as with all Premier League games that day) as 4.30pm. Wouldn't want anyone missing out on 30 minutes potential settling of nerves drinking time.

Cheers. Corrected. You’d actually just be 30 min early to the party  ;)

So many times in my nearly 50 years supporting this club we have had opportunities to progress only to fall at the last hurdle - not this times my Villa boys - 2-0

Man City 6-0 Brighton
Villa 6-0 Brighton

Villa qualify for the Europa on GD

Spur battered at Leeds for good measure and it will be funny as Leeds find out Everton get a late goal and point vs Bournemouth

I don't think my ageing ticker could take such a scenario.

A nice relaxing Sunday to end the season.

All of that is likely other than us conceding twice

I'm not sure if Bentford is a typo or not there...

As I stamped around the garden in a rage, having just watched our meek surrender against Bournemouth, if you told me that Sundays scenario would come about there is no way I would've believed it.
And this is one of the reasons we love the game, you never know what's going to happen. Unless you follow Stockport City where the outcome is as inevitable as Gerrards removal was on that sunny August afternoon.

I'm not going to make a prediction, I'm just going to enjoy the day and whatever happens, show appreciation to the Manager, his staff and the players.
