Brighton was a laugh. That's why we went down. It was a giggle, that's all.

Fell asleep on the train. Woke up in bloody Neasden.

How did that happen? You'd have to change trains at least once between Brighton and Neasden...

This sounds like a fun story I mean I don't know where these places are as such in proximity but tell us more!

Me and Badders were just quoting lines from Quadrophenia, a film partially set in Brighton, based on an album by The Who. It’s a way of life.

To my eternal shame I have yet to see that film...

It doesn’t have to be eternal.

I’ve seen it about a hundred times, and the musical once.

I've had a look at this fixture on 11v11. I will not share my findings, as I hope any of you won't should you do the same, because the power of the jinx is alive and very real.

This is Aston Villa and you can guarantee they’ll put us through the wringer for the entire 90 minutes. There’ll be no 2 or 3 goal lead going into the last few minutes for us. 10 minutes of injury time with a 1 goal lead.

It all comes down to Richard E's simulation of it on FIFA'23.

On my way from Macc, Cheshire countryside speeding by, chilled out music on the headphones, feeling relaxed. However, tension is building and the old stomach nerves are starting. Come on Villa, let’s do this. UTV.

Today is the day we turn our back on not doing what we need to do - just match the Spuds and get into Europe - UTV

Let’s pray Brighton are on the beach.
As I suspect Citeh won’t be busting a gut.

Well not quite. If us and Spurs both lose and Brentford win they get 7th. Highly unlikely with them playing Man City but it’s the last day and weird things have been known to happen. Let’s just win and make it easy on ourselves.

Man City not busting a gut could still see them win by 2 clear goals. And bear in mind Brentford won there this season. Man City won’t want any team doing the double over them. Which helps us and Spurs eliminate one more team from the picture.

Best of luck today Villans. Not just because I want to see Spurs miss out on Europe, but also because I think it’ll be great having another English team in Europe aside from the sky 6, and it’s nice being able to cheer on other English teams in Europe whilst watching my own - something I absolutely won’t do for Liverpool or Spurs but will for Brighton and Villa.

Not feeling this nervous since the West Ham game when we just stayed up.

Got a feeling Leeds could get something against Spurs, but still hoping Deano can pull off a Great Escape.

I'm more worried about Brentford leapfrogging us, personally.

Just fucking win, Villa. Otherwise I'll have the Brighton-supporting contingent amongst the Noses in my family giving me grief all summer!
