I doubt they are trying to, he's either banned or he isn't. I'm not sure this scenario has happened before so no one seems sure. That possibly includes UEFA as well.
Samir Nasri has now condemned his behaviour’ You stop a shot on goal, you don’t need to attack the opposing fans by telling them “shh”, frankly.’He’s an animal I tells ya…. Attacking those poor innocent people with his indiscriminate ssh’s.Prick.

And was I imagining it, or did he start pronouncing Luiz as Douglash Luiz and Santos as Santosh towards the end? He's done it in all of our games. Douglush, Tielemon..he spends ages trying to show everybody how clever he is by pronouncing everybody's names "properly". Just get on with the commentating, Alan bloody partridge. TNT as a whole is completely awful, the only decent person there is co-commentator Lucy Ward who's very good.

TNT as a whole is completely awful, the only decent person there is co-commentator Lucy Ward who's very good. There was a point in extra time when he was waffling on about something and Ward, seemingly teetering on the verge of losing all patience with this fool gritted her teeth and said "...like I said before", like you do with an idiot that isn't listening to you.I forget exactly what it was in reference to but it made me smile.
First time I've tried to attach an image. Apologies if it hasn't worked.

That possibly includes UEFA as well. The rules state that any cards don't transfer over to the semi, so if they do actually ban him for the first leg, they are setting a new precedent & they will owe Villa an explanation.
Apparently the gray area is that he reached the two yellow card limit for suspensions not that he was sent off.I dont think he can be banned for that but there is a two yellow card rule so I'm assuming that's why nobody actually knows. To be honest I wouldn't be too worried with Olsen in goal fir the home leg anyway.

To be honest I wouldn't be too worried with Olsen in goal fir the home leg anyway.I think the grey area is whether the QF technically ended at the end of extra-time, with a drawn tie, to be decided on penalties. Hence the second yellow not counting toward a 'red', because penalties is not technically "part of the same fixture". It's a straw, and I'm willing to cling to it until told otherwise.
If the cards didn't didn't count together during the actual tie, how on earth can they do so for the next tie?
