He plays on the right because that's the position he's been asked to play.  And where has all this Cash hate come from?

Re. The right hand side... It's probably because he can see the weakness down our right with a misfiring Matty Cash. He's forced over there to cover Cash's arse all the time.

Or it's because it's the position and job he's being asked to do.

Or maybe he's not on top form. It happens. He's lost his place for Saturday, it's up to his replacement to keep him out.

I don't know if this role McGinn plays on the left of a midfield 3 is ideal sometimes because he has to check to come inside for the passes and shots as he's so left footed.
I think he'll improve with Gerrard though always have a discipline problem and I think he needs to sometimes play central or on the left

The trouble is the system allows for width from the full backs so Cash has to make sure he advances otherwise it's all too narrow. Or we always have Watkins as he moves all around the pitch.

But on McGinn I like to see him more central rather than right sided.

Anyway, he's being linked with ManUre again.

He's got 3 years + left on his contract. He goes nowhere unless it suits us.

Love him to bits, but given the choice I would probably rather keep Coutinho and Ramsey. Not that it has to be a choice, of course.

He'd be a better signing for Liverpool imo.

Not going anywhere though hopefully and certainly not for £40m.

I would hope our ownership group doesn't even pick up the phone at 40m.

Seen he's been linked with a summer move, probably bullshit as Manure don't even know who their manager will be yet.

The way that Gerrard has been talking about McGinn, he is not going anywhere.

Apparently, old whiskey face rates him very highly and as we know he is still very influential at Manure.

If we were to consider a transfer then it would have to be silly money. If they paid 50+ million for Wan-Bissaka, then meatball has got to be in the 60 + million bracket.
