Why does he not miss the next game?

Is it because we are not halfway through and the amnesty has kicked in?  Does he miss the Man Yew league game instead of the cup game?

Yes. He can play in the Cup game on Monday but not the league game. I thought it was the next game they miss.

Bookings are competition specific!

So, if he gets a straight red at United in the cup, will he not miss three league matches?

He is increasingly reliant on the Barry Bannan-patented "Hollywood Pass" to mask his lack of pace and ability to get away from a player. Looks feeble when his radar is off.

Don't think so. May be a three year ban! (Going out at first attempt every year).

Irks me to say it but on current form he won’t be missed on Saturday. Doesn’t appear his normal self at present.

At some points today he was great, driving us forwards and being the heartbeat of the team. At others he was piss poor, giving the ball away to launch Man U attacks.

he seemed to be playing on the right side a lot tonight which didn’t really suit him

He has been playing there for quite a while. Its something we have been doing for years, even Hourihane used often play RCM. I guess around the opposition box it gives them more scope for getting a shot off but I prefer if our setup was more orthodox with McGinn as LCM, taking the ball in midfield on his stronger foot. His right foot is basically for standing on and the big arse trick is struggling to hide this technical limitation when facing his own goal.

The key is Nakamba's injury. McGinn was excellent with Nakamba in the DM role behind him, as was Douglas Luiz. The formation now is unbalanced. Also, McGinn had Covid, has that impacted his performance levels and possibly others?? It screwed our season last January.....

Re. The right hand side... It's probably because he can see the weakness down our right with a misfiring Matty Cash. He's forced over there to cover Cash's arse all the time.
