He is class.
But I think we might take £60m if someone come knocking.

If we flogged another key player this January/summer, I think we'd all be wondering if we were entering Lerner MkII territory especially when he's contracted to 2025.

There is a tick tok video (no idea) doing the rounds of him during that sequence where he just carried on - there is comedy music in the background.

If they want him he will go. If we got £70m I'd consider that a fair deal.

Spurs sold a lot of good players on their rise to the 'top six'.

They didn't.

They sold Berbatov for £30m and Robbie Keane for £16m in the summer window of 2008 but then got Keane back in January. They finished 8th that season and 4th the next.

By the time they sold Bale, Modric and Walker, they were already established in the top six.

Berbatov and Keane were pretty good players! Also, Carrick?

They were but they got Keane back six months later and made a profit.

I was using the beginning of the Redknapp era (2008/9) as the start point because under Ramos they were in crisis and going to get relegated, Redknapp was the one who really turned it round for them and started their ascent so I didn't include Carrick as he was sold before that.

Another superb display absolutely love the bloke and also he's cut those sloppy passes out of his game. Appeared to pick up a knock at the end hopefully ok for Saturday.

No we will not. £60 mill is practically giving him away on this form.

£60m is a joke in today's crazy market. Jadon Sancho at £70m+? He's utter garbage....

I don't think he has the technical chops to be at a title-contender (not that Yanited are currently but that will be their aim sooner or later).

It's noticeable that when Buendia, Luiz and Ramsey receive the ball to feet, they are very comfortable on the half-turn and can smoothly move forward.

With Meatball, he's always thinking about how to use his body (arse) to shield any challenges, meaning he receives the ball less fluidly and turns more awkwardly with it. I love him but for me that is one of the few but noticeable things lacking in his profile. At times in the past he has been breathing through his arse on the hour-mark. That might be lack of conditioning, his natural body limitations or the fact that he plays with intensity off the ball as well as on - partly cos of his top attitude but also partly to compensate for his technical limitations.

He should have not gone to watch his brother play in the cup final. We missed him on Saturday.

Obviously big blow losing SJM for the Man United league game, but does anybody know why he was booked? If Sky showed it I missed it.
