Villa haa taken out loan from Kroll Trustee Services, a company registered in the Shard. Appears to be secured on all of Villa’s properties and commercial contracts.

No idea how much for, given that Comcast pumped in £50m via new shares recently, you have to wondercwhats going on.

If it’s Shard End Investments the interest rate will be wonga proportions.

Yes, sounds a bit odd. Firstly giving up a big old chunk in equity, and now a loan from some unknown party.

Could it be for PSR purposes? I.e. by taking on debt, we get more PRS runway?

It's not 'income' is it? You can't just borrow £100m and add that to your income to be paid back over a period of time, can you?

That's a genuine question as I haven't got a fucking clue.

Debt doesn't make a positive difference to PSR, it just makes things worse, as obviously there will be interest to pay on the loans, which is an expense that reduces profit.

Wonder what the £100m is for and what's being done with it . Is this just to keep things ticking over ?

Don't know either. Pete on The Holy Trinity seemed to suggest this might be the case but I was distracted and might have to do a re-listen.

Indeed. I might have gotten it completely wrong and will listen to it again later.

That's what I thought. Still, what's the deal with the Brighton chairman pumping interest free money in?

He's talking out of his arse, basically. He says Man U are doing it, so it must be advantageous, but doesn't say any more than that. They've only got away with it because their turnover is so enormous, but even they look like they've got right up to the limit of PSR wriggle room.

He's a bit odd (the podcast bloke, not Scott!)

I find him unsettling.

I despise the picture he uses of him when a new pod comes out. Always has his face doing a slightly different expression, depending on the result.
