Is Simon the one who looks like the others' dad?

Does he? Can’t see that myself.

Yeah but he doesn’t look like any of them. You’ve got me doubting myself now.

Anyway time to watch the latest scintillating Villa display.

So £50m goes in from Atairos, who are the investment arm of Comcast, who are putting their US Cable TV into a separate company- perhaps for sale?

Another £50m had gone in from Goldmam Sachs financing through Kroll.

On top of the board of NWSE adding multiple new faces, who carry exprience in Project Management, building sports facilities etc.

Nothing to see here.

Why set themselves up for such a monumental public u-turn though? They could have worded a lot of things quite differently if they were cooking something. Even something as vanilla as 'We continue to explore stadium expansion in the medium-term' would have covered it.

I like Pete. I appreciate all the people who make Villa content these days*, the democratisation of content creation has changed things so much. Pete, Conan and Liam on The Villa Podcast, Max Stokes, they're all basically doing what Woodhall did 30 years plus ago, just in a world which has changed significantly.

* except that snidey fucker off MOMS. He can get in the bin.

He does come across as snidey, but he gets good info on the kind of stuff we’re contemplating here.

For instance, I was listening last night and I heard about:

Three VP gigs in the summer, and possibly more.

New website for the FAB in the works.

Consultation going on about how to improve ticket tech.

Given his usual stance, it kinda sounded like Heck had got round him a bit. Up until now, he has been refreshingly anti-Heck, so maybe things are showing signs of improvement.

Positively underwhelmed. We are going to end up with one of the smallest 9 grounds in the top flight while trying to compete in the top 5. Not sustainable. The dithering for the past year has not advanced us one inch in that direction.

He's only finding out what other FAB members are told.

Aston Villa co-owner Wes Edens' company Fortress Investment Group has completed the acquisition of UK pub and restaurant company Loungers, which owns chains like Lounge and Cosy Club, for more than £350m.

"What I Like Most About You Is Your Girlfriend" - a minor hit forty autumns ago. I was dancing in the womb.
