I can, and did! 😊

It's what Sawiris said to the Telegraph. And I don't have him down as a liar.
Yes I read the article, show me where he said he disagreed with the City position?

No. Because that's not what I said. And show me where he says he does agree with it, because that's what's being claimed?

From Telegraph.

Explaining his view, Sawiris, 63, said “we will be voting against the proposed APT rules” as clubs need time to reach a unanimous position.

“In our view, a vote in 90 days on amended terms taking into consideration the tribunal’s findings will have a significantly greater chance of securing the unanimous support of all 20 Premier League clubs,” he said in a statement.

“Crucially, a unanimous vote will present a fresh start for an embattled Premier League that began with the failed attempt to launch a Super League in 2021. With the imminent arrival of the Government’s independent football regulator, it is more important than ever that the Premier League can present itself to the regulator with a united front. In our view, this will be far more easily achieved if the APT vote is held in February and supported unanimously by all clubs.”

That's wholly different to:

From the BBC.

"City made clear they felt the amendments are unlawful and insisted no vote should take place before the panel issued a further determination.

Last week, City wrote to the other 19 Premier League clubs to say they were "concerned" about "unlawful amendments" to the APT rules.

They feel last month's tribunal ruling, which demanded changes to the Premier League's rules, effectively meant they need to be completely replaced, not tweaked as has happened.

Clarification from the tribunal is still to be received but City feel its recommendations will end up siding with them, which will effectively make today's vote irrelevant."

Man City still stating it's illegal etc. We're saying we need more time to get unanimous agreement.

A genuine question to those who know.
How can it be illegal when a private members club (Premier League) makes the rule?

We don't know whether the club genuinely felt like a delay would be beneficial or were on Man City's side and filibustering.

The concept of equity / fairness plays a huge part in the Laws of England and Wales. The Rules of the Pl are simply that, the Rules of the PL, Citeh are now testing those rules and specifically the application of those rules in relation to the Law. There are precedents that Citeh are trying to expose in order to suggest that the PL has not been consistent in the application of its Rules.
I am sure one of our Legal bods can add, amend or explain further.

If the Premier League decided only white players were allowed to play in it, would that be illegal?

I worry that there will come a time when Naseef and Wes decide, we can’t compete on a level playing field, and the rest of the clubs are not with us so fuck it, we are out.

Yeah a realistic possibility- but i could see huge interest in us from some seriously wealthy people if they decided to sell.

I do hope though it wont be for  a very long time

Villa haa taken out loan from Kroll Trustee Services, a company registered in the Shard. Appears to be secured on all of Villa’s properties and commercial contracts.

No idea how much for, given that Comcast pumped in £50m via new shares recently, you have to wondercwhats going on.

Maybe it's extra funding so we can keep those flame thrower display things going during the game to keep us warm.
Or a nice padded seat, like in the corporate bit.
