There's other Scots who have played for Ireland.

I reckon switching after a full cap is bollocks.

It was only a friendly so fair enough, IMO.

Shouldn't matter who the opponent is a full cap should be it, that's their national side. No one forced them to play in them.

Yeah, there’s an argument for youth caps not counting, but senior ones should rule it out.

I think it’s definitely right that a kid shouldn’t have to decide their allegiance.

This Carsley is no Southgate and if he not careful lacking the pragmatics will struggle at senior international level if given job as he's really only a youth coach. Being this tracksuit manager and wanting to join in seems wants to make up for not having a top playing career.
I'm wondering why Carsley already trying to shoe horn players in by having Grealish as a 10.
Gordon is obviously ahead of him on the left and really if you want a 10 that's Eze.

Grealish of course can play that role and Carsley must be looking for him to be chief creator today however JG has been a winger for a long time now so why is Carsley selecting someone not in their club positions clearly trying to upstage Southgate. And he's also starting Maguire!
Making you look a bit silly now.

His posts look like AI.

Grealish looks a different player compared to his role under Guardiola
He's been the best player out there.

Well, maybe. I think the Ireland football team are massive net beneficiaries of the looser interpretations of the rules so can't really complain too much.

The Ireland cricket team have more legitimate grounds to criticise, bearing in mind England just nick their best players even if they're not, in any way, English.

He never actually represented Scotland at any level though, I don't think. You couldn't switch in those days, as a rule.
He was called up at U18 level but never played apparently.

And both of them will probably get dropped for Foden and Palmer. Palmer fair enough, he's looked good for England. I'm rapidly losing patience with Foden though. 40 odd caps and how many good games has he actually played?

While not ideal it's fine to switch at youth levels imo, senior caps is where I think it isn't.

Jack has been very good, it's also the kind of game he often thrives in.

Wonder what Carsley's thoughts are on Foden and Bellingham. He's been spared a decision there for a few weeks.
