If we beat Club Brugge, it’s a guaranteed £9 million.

Not to be sneezed at.

Pl-op 'supporting' Brother in law moaning about the new format saying there's no reward for finishing top of the group and we've got an easier draw than them.

Cry more you glory hunting plastic.

Not our fault the 24th placed Bruges beat the 9th placed Atalanta, I hope you've told him where to go.

Right Bruges membership activated
Don’t think that’ll work, Jon. Did that for the first game and they were only elling to accounts opened two days before the draw.

Apart from the millions more they get for finishing top of course there is no "reward". But there was no real reward for finishing top in the old format. Yes they would play a second placed team but that could still be a "top" team. The last time they finished top of the group, they had Inter in the 16, Season before was Leipzig, and the one before that was Atletico (who beat them).

Their ground is shit and the food they served our lot in the away end tuck shop was like something from the Eastern Bloc in 1985. Grim as fvck, m'Lord.

Let’s hope we don’t underestimate them. We shouldn’t, given the way we performed in the league phase against them.
They outplayed Atalanta in the home leg and were tactically good in the 2nd leg.
Yes. If we go all-out attack, they're screw us on the break. It will be a closely-fought tie.

If we get Liverpool next round. Will we be at home second leg?

We are home second leg in all rounds if we get through, as mentioned earlier in the thread. And to top it off, we will be the home side in the final, although it means we won't be wearing iconic white shirts.

My underestimation of the strength of the Belgian beer I was drinking all day, meant I quite enjoyed the stadium. I was in the home end though.

Everyone seems to think Barcelona have an easy route to the final.  I reckon Lille with give them a kicking in the next round.
