What a night, what a game!! The atmosphere was fantastic and the Trinity was bouncing like the Holte.

Martinez, Cash, Digne, Konsa, McGinn, Watkins were all circling the relegation zone under Gerrard a few years ago and last night they beat PSG in a Champs League quarterfinal final game. Emery is a genius!! Can’t wait for more Champs League next season, we’ve had some wonderful nights this season.

Edit, meant to post this in the post match thread.

Don't disagree. I still think a more varied draw with one legged ties would be more exciting. Rather than just two potential opponents, the top half teams in each round based on league position get seeded and home advantage so you'd have lots of potential opponents and everyone would be desperate to finish as high as possible in the group stage.

Isn't that the European Super League we didn't like the idea of?

No, because it's based on merit rather than just letting the same teams in every year.

Now that we're gone, the important thing is that Arsenal don't win.

If Arsenal beat PSG they'll deserve to win it. I personally think PSG will go all the way.

I don't care if they deserve it or not. It's that bunch of entitled dickheads.

It's the principle. Every new English club that wins dilutes our achievement, particularly one which has trouble shitting because of all the media tongues blocking its hole.

In theory, about three months ago.

Mathematically, last week when Arsenal beat Real Madrid.

I believe it's already confirmed. I think we (English teams) needed one more win last week, and Arsenal beating Real means that mathematically, we can't be overtaken by two countries now, so we'll definitely finish in the top 2 of the coefficient league, and get an extra place.

Ironically, if Arsenal had drawn last week, our win last night would have improved the national coefficient enough to guarantee 5th place gets Champions League , even though we lost the tie.

I think it's down to Spain and Italy as to who gets the other extra place now.

It's basically Spain though.
