At villa park the gane will be a completely  different  kettle of fish. We have to basically  do the opposite  in what we did in the group game and we should have too much for them if we play as we know we can

Let’s hope we don’t underestimate them. We shouldn’t, given the way we performed in the league phase against them.

They outplayed Atalanta in the home leg and were tactically good in the 2nd leg.

It will be great if we can beat Brugges and move on. We’d all have been delighted by that at the start of the season. This game is no walk in the park. And we know from past cup experience that just because we get what might be perceived as an easier draw it doesn’t always turn out that way. 2 legs and the swoons one at Villa Park is always a massive plus.

Hopefully the train strikes in Belgium won't continue. I think they are due to end on Sunday 2nd March. Fingers crossed.

Villa in Bruges, Arsenal in Eindhoven, Spurs in Alkmaar & Liverpool in Paris - St Pancras and the ferries are going to be a little busy that week.

We can beat anyone on our day. We've shown it already.

Anyway, I wonder what the odds of us facing the following to win the thing.

Brugge
PSG
PSV
Lille.

More chance of Yanited getting 50 home draws out of 57.

Couple of days ago some were saying that Brugges would be like a bye into the next round. We draw them and some of us are suddenly talking them up. Life as a football fan.

People saying it was a bye have very short memories.

Beautiful city and really enjoyed the trip last time but that Brugge away end was like going back  to the 1980's. Awful place to watch football..

If we beat Club Brugge, it’s a guaranteed £9 million.  If we win the FA Cup, £2 million.  That’s not a swipe at the FA Cup, which I’d love to win, but just noting the financial difference.

Pl-op 'supporting' Brother in law moaning about the new format saying there's no reward for finishing top of the group and we've got an easier draw than them.

Cry more you glory hunting plastic.

We're 100% on the shit side of the draw, both for strength and all the English sides. Would've rathered Dortmund as I think we might just have had a chance on the other side. Liverpool and Madrid is probably too strong. Liverpool and then Arsenal would be both brilliant (semis) and absolutely shit (because).
