The phrase 'bin dipper' is about as funny as the famous Scouse sense of humour.

Indeed

The only thing even remotely as bad is 'Liverpool', which I have only ever heard on here, but is also puerile.

I can’t stand Everton or Dyche and hope they get relegated. 3-0 to us all day long
I can.  Everton aren't the enemy.  Our clubs have got a lot in common and I'm not sure why some seem to dislike them so much.  Obviously I hope we give them a good twatting on Saturday, but there's probably 17 other clubs in the league I'd rather see relegated before them.

Forest before you ask.

If we lose this, it will be doom and negativity galore.

I am as big a fan of Emery as you'll find anywhere, but if we did lost this, that'd be four defeats on the bounce and doom and gloom would be entirely understandable.

It could well define whether we're looking up or down the table for the rest of the season. 6th to 10th place is still wide open but we've got to be in it to win it. It will be a tough game but we have the players to turn Everton over. Oh, and we haven't lost to them since we were promoted. It's a happy hunting ground for us and I'm expecting another Villa win at Goodison.

The only thing even remotely as bad is ''The Mighty Reds YNWA'', which I have only ever heard on here, but is also puerile.

Apart from calling Small Heath Small Heath because I'm embarrassed that they're anything to do with Birmingham, I don't see the point in giving nicknames to any clubs.

Not having a go at anyone who does, but seeing 'Spuds', 'Arse' or 'Manure' is about as amusing to me as us being called 'the Vile'.

Back in the day VillaTalk used to be the worst for it. Notlob, Evernot, Liverp_lop (sometimes just Pl _op). Hilarious stuff.

Edited to reflect that the word filter is nearly doing its job!

I meant to say Plop but was defeated by the word filter.

As you said, it is doing its job!

Although is defeated by html tags!

Under the banner "Aston Villa lose two players to injury" this shocking news from Goodison...

"Aston Villa are set to be without Jed Steer and Diego Carlos for their Premier League fixture against Everton on Saturday, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery."

I was hoping for a result but with this shocking piece of unexpected news I'm no longer so optimistic.

How do these people consider themselves as journalists?
And how do these so called media outlets consider utter drivel like this as news?

Back in the day there used to be nicknames galore on here too. I did it, as did many of us. There weren't too many people calling it puerile or, ironically, hilarious. I think we've just moved on, and are phasing it out naturally.

Not quite quickly enough. I read 'bin dippers' on here several times a week.

You are far too young and totally unqualified to use the phrase “back in the day”.

I'm not sure Dendonker can be classed as 'fire'
He’s more of a smoke detector with expired batteries.

I'm 45! As an English Literature graduate, though, I will concede that I'm totally unqualified for anything.

It doesn't appear to have reached the politics threads yet.

Ah yes, Notlob was an exceptionally pointless one.

Everton have beaten both Arsenal & Leeds 1-0 at home recently. This will be tough, a draw at best.
