A joyful evening, only made tense by the ease at which we won that first half. It would have been absolutely criminal for Villa not to have won that in normal time.

A few things....

First, big respect to Liverpool boys playing a final in a partisan atmosphere. It can’t have been easy.

Well done to to the Liverpool number 4 walking round the pitch pulling his teammates onto their feet after the final whistle. Leadership.

Villa? Well...some of the attacking was sublime. The defending as resolute as the first  team. When they clicked they flowed quite beautifully. I’m very excited. We deserved to win.

We thought it was hilarious that some ran off to get their phones to record it. It’s 2021. They’re kids. Marvellous.

Arian speaks as well, if not better, as a professional when interviewed.

Young could turn into a “big unit”. Hopefully.

Only the second non-Scab Six team to win the competition in the last 16 years (other was Norwich in 2013) and we're now 4th in the all-time winners table.
