Our kids have been absolutely superb on the run to the final. Dominant against almost every opponent. I know we are glowing in the Chelsea win but started a little thread for anyone who wants to talk about this. Will have a match thread also. Should be an excellent game.

I’m looking forward to being there and seeing this.

My Liverpool mate says their U18s have a lot of injuries, so I guess he’s getting in the excuses early.

Come on you young lions!

And we're missing Jacob's brother Aaron Ramsey - who is probably up there with Chuk and Louie Barry in terms of potential (and March player of the month in the PL2).  So don't let him pull that bullshit about missing players...

I am going to this tomorrow. Is this the first leg or this is one match only final?

It's on BT Sport. Not sure if it's being shown elsewhere. Doesn't look like VillaTV is showing it.

Cheers, looks like I'll have to find a body of water with surface water flowing within the bed and banks of a channel.

The Liverpool side looked good in the SF against Ipswich, but we must have a really good chance.

The bigger picture is how many of these will make it in the professional game.
The 1972 team which beat Liverpool most notably produced Brian Little and John Gidman. There was also Jake Findlay, Alan Little, Tony Betts, Bobby McDonald and Jimmy Brown.
Liverpool had Phil Thompson, and even Small Heath who we beat in the 4th round had some kid who managed to make a living from football.

How come we got to host it and not them/a neutral venue?

Luck of the draw. As it's only one leg in both the semis and final, they 'drew' the final at the same time as the semis. Our semi came out of the bag first. Whoever won it would be the home team for the final. Go us!
