They're definitely adding a lot of wheelchair spaces, it was in the planning application as one of the reasons for the development.

We have been woefully short on these spaces, so it's a much-needed improvement.

I think most are going in the Holte/Witton Lane corner.

Some are and it looks like there’s a new platform in Trinity/North corner which wasn’t announced

But I suspect overall there won’t be much difference in numbers as a large number disappearing from the length of the trinity as the two tiers merge.

Should be better vantage points though and more choice for anybody disabled that wants to give it full send with the noise, they can can now be in the Holte. Acoustic wise more in the corners should trap atmosphere.

A few years back Villa were pretty low down on the list of providing accessible spaces in the ground, mainly because it was only available in the Trinity.  Since then, and following this development, there are accessible seats in all of the stands, plus the away end and now the corners - overall it's one of the best things we've done in the developments over the last few years.

Not sure the Trinity/North corner is construction related or a new disabled section.

Amen to that.

There's just no excuse for clubs to not get this sorted.

It's the other side (Holte/Witton Lane) for the disabled section.

There does seem to be a concrete platform now in the Trinity/North corner. Likely a temporary thing until the tunnel moves.

Sort of related to the NS rebuild, but has anyone been watching the stuff on Twitter with the English and Americans going at each other about who has the best stadiums?

We have Villa Park. End of discussion.  8)

Fenway Park....real end of discussion  ;) ;D

The only stadium in England that's up to US standards is Tottingham

As nice as Fenway Park is, it's a million miles from the end of the discussion.

Are we discussing size or the merit of sporting venues?

The answer then depends if you want brass band playing, baton twirling, megaphone-backed, GA+ nonsense, or a visceral, passionate, organic, balls-out atmosphere.

There's no US stadium that stands up to Bramall Lane, let alone our very best football grounds.

There's many cracking US stadiums, but as most weren't built for our football those are crap football stadiums by our standards.

If Spurs is the UK benchmark for US standards, that wouldn't surprise me - expensive, soulless, and all about making money.

No thankyou!
