They're definitely adding a lot of wheelchair spaces, it was in the planning application as one of the reasons for the development.

We have been woefully short on these spaces, so it's a much-needed improvement.

But I suspect overall there won’t be much difference in numbers as a large number disappearing from the length of the trinity as the two tiers merge.

Should be better vantage points though and more choice for anybody disabled that wants to give it full send with the noise, they can can now be in the Holte. Acoustic wise more in the corners should trap atmosphere.

A few years back Villa were pretty low down on the list of providing accessible spaces in the ground, mainly because it was only available in the Trinity.  Since then, and following this development, there are accessible seats in all of the stands, plus the away end and now the corners - overall it's one of the best things we've done in the developments over the last few years.

Sort of related to the NS rebuild, but has anyone been watching the stuff on Twitter with the English and Americans going at each other about who has the best stadiums?

As nice as Fenway Park is, it's a million miles from the end of the discussion.

Are we discussing size or the merit of sporting venues?

The answer then depends if you want brass band playing, baton twirling, megaphone-backed, GA+ nonsense, or a visceral, passionate, organic, balls-out atmosphere.

There's no US stadium that stands up to Bramall Lane, let alone our very best football grounds.
